Meet Alexa Kapp!
Alexa graduated from Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre with High Honors & certifications in Teaching, Training, and Equine Massage in 2010. She believes in working the horse using pressure from body language instead of just spurs or a whip. The horse realizes that she speaks his language and then learns that he is safe when beside her. From there, she can advance and train the horse.
Alexa has ridden with some amazing teachers such as Anne Kursinski, Nick Edmunds, Liz Patrick, Charlie Musco, Steve Gilbert and Helmut Graetz.
Her number one priority is safety. So she focuses on the rider’s position – to be centered on the horse. She believes the student needs to learn the basics-Relaxation, Balance, and Following the Motion in order to be safe and learn to ride the horse. From there, the rider can start to learn how to improve the horse and start influencing his gait/way of going.
Alexa has 24 years of varied riding experiences, competitions, and education. She provides training and lessons including, but not limited to, Natural Horsemanship, Hunter, Jumper, Dressage, Eventing, Gaited (Paso Finos), Western, Barrel Racing, Trail/Obstacle, Reining & Horse Husbandry. She is equally skilled at working with the rider and horse as a team.
Follow your dream of learning to ride, learn how to take your riding to the next level, or simply have fun.
